This was an incredibly inspired yet difficult song.
The bulk of the song was written in just an hour, but some changes to the arrangement, lyrics and bridge section took days!
In fact, the original title wasn't even Christmas Lights... but in mulling about the meaning behind the song - that Jesus is the Light of the World, and the Christmas lights strung up every year point to the Brightest Light of all.... the title "Christmas Lights" just popped into my head. And I knew that HAD to be the title of the album as well. :)

** Extra special thanks to my neighbourhood for keeping quiet in the middle of the night so I could record this song in my non-sound-proofed room. So ghetto! :p
